“I know I can’t heal the world. But I can help.”
Michael Jackson first said these words when he was a child, ladies and gentleman. I’ve heard this many times before but it still continues to astound me.
“Don’t touch my fans!”
I think this was after a pap knocked over a fan. He truly cared about all of us. I miss you Michael. <3
LA Weekly: Until now, Michael Jackson’s art collection was shrouded in mystery. It was said to be stuck in a legal dispute over possession. Then, people speculated that buyers such as Cirque du Soleil’s Guy Laliberté were interested. It’s been valued at the staggering (and slightly unbelievable) sum of $900 million.
One crucial fact: Jackson’s art collection isn’t art by other people — it’s mainly drawings and paintings that he created himself. So what does that art look like?
Yesterday, LA Weekly was the first to visit the (until now) top-secret Santa Monica Airport hangar that Jackson used as his studio and art storehouse…
“My appearance began to really change when i was about fourteen. I grew quite a bit in height. People who didnt know me would come into a room expecting to be introduced to cute little Michael Jackson and they would walk right past me. I would say “Im Michael,” and they’d look doubtful. Michael was a cute little kid; i was a gangly adolescent heading toward five feet ten inches.I was not the person they expected or even wanted to see. Adolescence is hard enough, but imagine having your own natural insecurities about the changes your body is undergoing heightened by the negative reaction of others.”
