November 27 1979 - Michael’s publicity agency, Norman Winter Associates, approaches Rolling Stone magazine to see if they are interested in doing a cover story on Michael Jackson. They receive the following reply:

“Michael Jackson has, in fact, been on the cover of Rolling Stone, contrary to your statement in you recent letter to me. We would very much like to do a piece on Michael Jackson, but feel it is not a cover story.”
